Motor Vehicle Laboratory in Summer 2025

The Motor Vehicle Laboratory is offered as a specific specialist internship in the Master's degree programme in Mechanical Engineering, e.g. for the specialisations in Automotive Engineering, General Mechanical Engineering and Theoretical Mechanical Engineering as well as the Master's degree programme in Mechatronics and Information Technology. 

Successful participation in all experiments and the respective colloquia as well as the recognition of all independently prepared reports is a prerequisite for passing the lab course. In addition, there will be a final written examination at the end of the semester in which the knowledge of the content discussed in the laboratory will be tested.

The course is held in groups (with a maximum of 12 persons in each group), with a total of four groups being offered: 

Group A: Wednesday 09:00 – 10:30 

Group B: Wednesday 11:00 – 12:30 

Group C: Wednesday 02:00 – 3:30 p.m.

Group D: Wednesday 04:00 – 5:30  p.m.

The exact dates and the corresponding topics of the respective Motor Vehicle Laboratory experiment will be announced in a further notice. 

Registration for the Motor Vehicle Laboratory takes place exclusively online until 17.04.2025 at https://plus.campus.kit.edu/signmeup/procedures/3416 

Due to the space available, a maximum of 12 persons per group are permitted. If more students register than there are places available, preference will be given to students specialising in automotive engineering and students in higher semesters; if the other conditions are the same, the decision will be made by drawing lots. The order of registration has no relevance to the allocation of places. 

The final list of participants will be announced on 18.04.2025 by notice board, the participants will also receive an email as confirmation. 

The necessary test documents are available via KIT-ILIAS, the participants will be added to the ILIAS course after successful allocation of places by the institute.
